Why We Refuse Invented Midpoints

A fake 50 is a lie with a UI. We will not cosign it for the industry’s comfort.

Plenty of products fill empty cells so the screen looks complete. Missing defense rank becomes sixteen. Missing hit rate becomes fifty. The board looks full. The truth does not. That is not user experience. That is theater for investors and demos.

We do not do that. If a factor was not measured, it stays empty or the chain says so. Point-in-time means week before the prop — not peeking at the future to look smart after the fact so a marketing deck can claim omniscience.

In our lab scoring log, tiers already tell an uncomfortable story: strong lean bands do not print free money; mid tiers wander near coin; under leans can outperform lazy overs. That is what happens when you stop inventing the middle and start counting — for the people, not for the pitch.

Integrity is not a slogan. It is what you refuse when the demo would look smoother if you lied. If we invent midpoints, we break the only promise that matters. We will not break it to sound PC-nice to a market that profits from fog.

Open Grades. Look for the empty spots as carefully as the greens and reds. That is the product working — not failing. Sparse truth beats full fiction every time.
